Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4th December 2019 asking for information about staff who have access to post Twitter feeds in respect of the London Overground and TfL Rail.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I am requesting a list of staff positions who have access to post to the Twitter social media feeds for London Overground and TfL Rail. I can confirm that we hold the information you require which is as follows:
- A total of 38 staff within our “First Contact” team (Customer Services), 33 of which are ‘Customer Service Advisers’. These staff report to three ‘Team Managers’, who in turn report to the ‘Customer Services Delivery Manager’, who in turn reports to the Head of Contact Centre Operations;
- 25 staff within our Press Office. However, in practice, only two such staff ever send tweets about TfL Rail or London Overground. These are both “Press Officers” who are supervised by a “Head of Press Desk”;
- 10 staff in our Digital Communications team. These are “Digital Editors”, who report to the “Social Media and Blogs Manager”.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
