All products used by London Underground are regulated by MAPP (Ministerially Approved Pesticide Products) and are licensed for use in the UK. These products are applied in accordance with the law by trained and experienced operatives under the supervision of a BASIS advisor; BASIS describe themselves as ‘an independent standards setting and auditing organisation for the pesticide, fertiliser and allied industries’.
