I’m wondering about TfL’s Route performance data from 19th August to September 15th and was wondering about a few things:
Q1: What is the best performing High Frequency Route in terms of EWT (Estimated Waiting Time)?
Q2: What is the worst performing High Frequency Route in terms of EWT (Estimated Waiting Time)?
Q3: What is the best performing Low Frequency route in terms of On Time and QSI points?
Q4: What is the worst performing Low Frequency route in terms of On Time and QSI points?
Q5: What route has the most operated mileage?

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions and our replies are as follows: I’m wondering about TfL’s Route performance data from 19th August to September 15th and was wondering about a few things:
The dates 19 August 2023 to 19 September 2023 coincides with our period 6 so we have provided the data for that reporting period.
Note 1: We refer to poor performers in relation to the route specific minimum performance standard (MPS). For clarity, we have included best and worst both in terms of variance from MPS and outright performance. Note 2: We have included both day and night routes.
Q1: What is the best performing High Frequency Route in terms of EWT (Estimated Waiting Time)?
Day Route 72 EWT Minimum Performance Standard 1.30 minutes EWT 0.56 minutes EWT Variance 0.74 minutes The best for outright EWT was route EL2 with 0.40 minutes (against an MPS of 0.70 minutes)
Night Route N38 EWT Minimum Performance Standard 1.00 minutes EWT 0.29 minutes EWT Variance 0.71 minutes The best for outright EWT was also route N38
Q2: What is the worst performing High Frequency Route in terms of EWT (Estimated Waiting Time)?
Day Route 217 EWT Minimum Performance Standard 1.10 minutes EWT 2.66 minutes EWT Variance -1.56 minutes The worst for outright EWT was also route 217
Night Route N15 EWT Minimum Performance Standard 0.80 minutes EWT 0.81 minutes EWT Variance -0.01 minutes The worst for outright EWT was route N25 with 0.85 minutes (against and MPS of 1.00 minutes)
Q3: What is the best performing Low Frequency route in terms of On Time and QSI points?
Day Route 357 On-time Minimum Performance Standard 78.0% On-time % 91.7% On-time Variance 13.7% The best for outright on-time % was route 497 with 96.3% (against an MPS of 86.0%)
Night Route N11 On-time Minimum Performance Standard 82.0% On-time % 96.1% On-time Variance 14.1% The best for outright on-time % was route N134 with 98.5% (against an MPS of 86.0%)
Q4: What is the worst performing Low Frequency route in terms of On Time and QSI points?
