Request ID: FOI-2595-1617
Date published: 15 June 2017

You asked

Actually researcher at the LVMT (Laboratory of mobilty, transport and urban studies) in the ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées), we are interested by carsharing programs in diferent cities. I would like to know more about Car sharing (car clubs) services data, areas for oneway services and stations for two way services (polygons and points). Can I have a shapefile. or xls. format information about positions of all car services in the greater london? Those inputs would be useful to compare other territories worldwide. In the web site "Trasportation for london" there is a map whit all carsharing positions of those services. Available data is to make analysis and create knowledge on those trends that appeared to be good practices in Eco-mobility concepts.(Shared mobility).

Please find attached a CSV file which includes co-ordinates for all fixed car club bays in London. This information is collected and collated by Carplus, which is the UK car-sharing industry’s trade body.

The feed for the car club map on TfL’s website is currently being refreshed and our online team is working with the Car Club operators and Carplus to consume a new feed, with updated date they are developing. Please check announcements of when this work is complete on our discussion forum and blog: https://techforum.tfl.gov.uk/ and https://blog.tfl.gov.uk/. In the meantime the current data is available at the following API - https://api.tfl.gov.uk/Place/Type/CarClub.

Additional data for flexible and fixed car club operations will be included in the 2016/17 London Car Club Annual Survey Report which is anticipated to be published on Carplus’ website next month.

We would be grateful if you could share your research with us once it has been concluded.
