TfL Ref: FOI-2562-1617
Thank you for your email received by us on 20 March 2017 asking for information about Santander usage and registration data.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:
I am writing to request Santander Cycles usage data for all trips made between 1st January 2016 and 31st December 2016, indicating:
1. the start and end station
2. the start and end time
This information is on the website at the open data page - https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/open-data-users/
3. whether the trip was made by registered or casual users.
We do not record this against the data requested above however, we can give the split of overall casual/member hires for 2016 as below:
Member Hires Casual Hires Total
5,871,266 4,432,371 10,303,637
For registered user' trips, I would like to have the user's individual title (Miss/Ms/Mr/Mrs), age and home postcodes.
Unfortunately we cannot provide this information as we do not record which journeys are registered/casual.
I would also like to ask for the geographical location (latitude and longitude) and ID/name of the bicycle stations installed in East London (covering the entire borough of Tower Hamlets and part of Hackney) in 2012.
Please find attached all Phase 2 Hackney & Tower Hamlets new and extended sites.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
