Thank you for your request received on 19 October 2017 asking for information about the Metropolitan Line..

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

Over the last year, how many Metropolitan Line trains have taken longer to complete their route than advertised on the TfL website journey planner and how many trains have been cancelled or terminated early due to delays or congestion?

We do not hold information on the number of trains that have taken longer to complete their route than advertised on Journey Planner. However, we do keep records of all service affecting disruptions. On the Metropolitan Line between 20 October 2016 to October 20 2017 there was a total of 2,219 disruptions recorded. Out of these disruptions, trains were withdrawn or cancelled 557 times.
