I am writing to ask how many residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London Borough of Newham, and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets hold concessionary travelcards entitling them to discounted travel by virtue of being in receipt of Income Support, Jobseekers’ Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance.

Thank you for your e-mail received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14 March 2017 asking for information about concessionary travelcards.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as Transport for London is a local government body responsible for London’s transport system. Transport for London does not manage concessionary travel services. The London Councils may be better placed to assist you. They can be contacted at: http://www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/.

Please accept our apologies that we are unable to assist you further on this occasion.
