Thank you for your request of 4th November 2024 asking for information about protected cycle routes.

Specifically you asked:
“I note TfL is deploying this line frequently.
Approached for comment, a spokeswoman for the mayor said: “Protected cycle routes, which can feature bus stop bypasses on bus routes, reduce the risk of injury to cyclists by 40-65 per cent
Can you please release that discusses the use of this line to the press?”.
On 7th November 2024 you clarified that “Yes. I would like to see the emails and any reports that discuss the use of this line by the Mayor, Will Norman and spokes people.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The only information that TfL holds within the scope of your request are the two email strings attached. Note that the direct contact details of TfL staff, and the names and direct contact details of any external staff, have been redacted under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act, the exemption that protects against the unfair release of personal data.
