We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-2474-1718

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29 November 2017 asking for information about road collisions.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do not hold the information you require.

We do not yet hold the information you have requested. The Metropolitan Police (MPS) introduced a new input database back in November 2016 which involves individual officers inputting their own records rather than the collision report books being sent off to a central team. This has resulted in some data reliability and compatibility issues which we are currently working with the MPS to resolve.  As a consequence we have been unable to process any 2017 data into our collision database, so we are unable to supply the information split between Taxi and Private Hire vehicles at this time. Please note that, in any case, this information will not split by individual private hire operator.

In the meantime, you may be interested to read the various reports we produce on road safety that are published on our website and updated quarterly: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal

Yours sincerely
