TfL Ref: 2421-2021

Thank you for your email received by us on 25 February 2021 asking for information about Split Cycle Offset Optimisation Technique traffic data in the Walthamstow area of east London.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act) and our information access policy.  You asked for:

data from any traffic lights enabled with SCOOT (Split Cycle Offset Optimisation Technique) from roads surrounding the Markhouse/St James Area (A1006)of Walthamstow.

This may include junctions at:

Markhouse Road/Markhouse Avenue

Downsfield Road/Queens Rd/Markhouse Road

Markhouse Road/Low Hall Lane

Markhouse Road/Station Road/Blackhorse Road

St James St/Markhouse Road/South Grove Roundabout

Graphs of the last 12 months for congestion and flow would be great.

Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you have requested because out of the locations listed above, only one site is controlled by traffic signals which is: Downsfield Road/Queens Road/Markhouse Road. However, this vicinity does not operate under SCOOT control.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.

Yours sincerely
