Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4 February 2021 asking for information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) on Brompton Road.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

1. Please let me know under the Freedom of Information act what type of information IS recorded for PCNs issued through the camera which observes the cab rank outside of Harrods on the Brompton Road.

During the monitoring of the cab rank and zig zag lines at this location, a recording is made by an officer if they believe a contravention has occurred. At the time of recording the location, time, contravention code and the vehicle registration is recorded along with video evidence of the contravention.

The vehicle registration then used request the vehicle and registered keeper details from the DVLA and these are then recorded on our system and the penalty issued. A unique contravention code is also recorded.

From 22 September 2014 (when enforcement commenced) to 31 December 2020, TfL has received £288,316 in payments towards PCNs issued for this contravention.

From 1 January 2020 – 31 December 2020 TfL has received £51,570 in payments towards PCNs issued for this contravention.
