Thank you for your emails received by us on 3 and 7 December 2018 asking for information about Tech and Data Service Analyst salaries. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.

a list of T&D Service Analysts and their salaries so I can work out statistics like mean, average and medium. In addition, this will also show how many people earn more than and less than me. This list should be anonymised as per below example.

The remainder of the information you are seeking has been withheld in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data could lead to the identification of specific individuals given that you have asked for a list of each individual salary according to gender and title, which would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
