From Feb 21 2015 to Feb 20 2017 the total number of lift failures at Elephant And Castle Bakerloo line exit . Within this information I also require the average time the lift was unusable .

Thank you for your email received by us on 21 February 2017 asking for information about lift failures at Elephant & Castle station.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

 

Between 21 February 2015 and 20 February 2017, there were 48 instances where one of Lifts No.1,3 and 4 (Bakerloo Line exit) was out of service, spread across 40 days. The average time a lift was unavailable was 275 minutes. Please note, information on lift availability, since 1 January 2016, is now routinely published on our website at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/lift-availability
