Freedom of Information request - relationship between TfL and Cavendish Consulting (formerly known as BECG)
Request ID: FOI-2198-2324 Date published: 13 October 2023
You asked
Hello,
Could you please confirm whether or not TTL Properties has hired a company called Cavendish Consulting (formerly known as BECG), whose London office is in Mansion House Place, EC4 to advise them on any matters? The time scale of interest is principally from 2018 through to the end of 2019 though a later relationship might also be relevant.
If so, can you tell me please when that relationship first began and whether it is still ongoing.
As I say, this is a Freedom of Information request in the interests of open government.
Thank you
(Please note I recently made a similar FoI request in respect of TfL)
We answered
Our ref: FOI-2151-2324/GH & FOI-2198-2324/GH
Thank you for your requests received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 and 21 September 2023 asking for information about a relationship between TfL/TTL Properties and Cavendish Consulting.
Your requests have been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we do hold the information you require – TfL or TTL Properties (now known as Places for London) has not directly hired the services of Cavendish Consulting (formerly known as BECG).
However, we can confirm that BECG were employed by one of our consultants (Aspire Development Management), and therefore TTL Properties did work with them on Bank Over Station Development in 2018/2019 and we subsequently paid them for this work.
If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
