You asked

Thank you for your email of which the contents have been noted which confirms that Uber can Operate in London. Please can you identify, by reference to a map, where Uber can Operate. In particular, are you able to define what London is and therefore where they are permitted to Operate.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 October 2019 asking for information about Uber.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

As we advised in our previous response under FOI reference 1865-1920, Transport for London (TfL) is the licensing authority and regulator for London taxi and private hire services. Uber London Limited is licensed to accept private hire bookings in London.  We define London as being the geographical area which covers the 33 London Boroughs. You can find maps depicting this area on various websites such as the link below although others are available using an appropriate search engine:
