Request ID: FOI-2077-2324 Date published: 10 October 2023
You asked
1. How much money through sponsorship did TfL receive from Burberry to rename the entire station?
2. How much did it cost TfL to rebrand Bond Street Station? - that’s printing/production of signs etc.
3. Was an impact assessment completed to consider any accessibility issues with this marketing stunt? If so, please publish it. I have particular concerns that deaf and hard of hearing customers were overlooked - those who rely solely on visual aids.

Thank you for your request received on 16 September 2023 asking for information about the renaming of Bond Street Station to ‘Burberry Street’.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the requested information. You asked:
1. How much money through sponsorship did TfL receive from Burberry to rename the entire station?
TfL received £200k of sponsorship revenue from Burberry for the temporary station rename.
2. How much did it cost TfL to rebrand Bond Street Station? - that’s printing/production of signs etc.
There was no cost to TfL to rebrand the station. All printing and productions costs were paid by Burberry. Full details of this agreement can be found at the following link: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/burberry-station-contract-acc.pdf.
3. Was an impact assessment completed to consider any accessibility issues with this marketing stunt? If so, please publish it. I have particular concerns that deaf and hard of hearing customers were overlooked - those who rely solely on visual aids.
An answer to this was issued in response to a recent, similar FOI request which can be seen here:
