Thank you for your request received on 8 November 2018 asking for information about a meeting between Transport for London (TfL) and the ‘Unblock the Embankment’ campaign.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we  hold some of the information you require. You asked:
 
Please supply any details of the recent meeting with the 'Unblock the Embankment' campaign (as indicated in this tweet - https://twitter.com/UnblockA3211/status/1060560576311631876), including the date, any attendees, and minutes of the meeting.
 
The meeting took place at 9am-10.30am on Thursday 18 October in Tallow Chandlers Hall, 4 Dowgate Hill, London, EC4R 2SH.
 
The meeting was convened by Tony Halmos, a consultant who is acting on behalf of interested parties. Other attendees included representatives of the Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association (LTDA), Federation of Small Business, DHL, London First, Road Haulage Association, and others described as having business interests on the Embankment.
 
From TfL, Lauren Preteceille - Head of National and Regional Partnerships, Glynn Barton – Director, Network Management, and Lucy Ryan – Performance and Planning Manager (Central), attended. However please note that they only stayed for the period of the meeting relating to issues they were concerned with (9-9.30am).
 
They were asked to cover the following issues:
 
• The immediate situation concerning the Thames Tideway works on the Embankment
• The longer term plans for the Embankment's ‘traffic issues’
• TfL’s initial reactions to the City of London Corporation's new draft transport strategy consultation paper
• East-West Cycle Superhighway numbers: confirm correct number per day and whether electronic cycle counters on the CS count cyclists or journeys
• Air pollution – whether there is an assessment of the relationship between congestion and air pollution levels on the Embankment
 
No slides were produced for the meeting and we do not hold any minutes.
