Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7th October 2019 asking for information about the electrical power supply to Crossrail stations.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

Regulation 114.1 of BS7671 makes reference to statutory regulations, can you please confirm whether the power supplies to the main LV panels within Crossrail stations are in accordance with: the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002”.

I can confirm that the power supplies to the main LV panels within Crossrail stations are in accordance with the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002. Note that we can also confirm that the earth to neutral connection from the secondary side of the TX’s are permanent (which, I understand, is a question often raised in regard to these regulations).
