Fainting on London Underground

Request ID: FOI-2029-2425
Date published: 07 October 2024

You asked

Follow-up to FOI-1905-2425: Thank you for your response – if you could provide this data: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-1019-1718 but for 2023 that would be useful! It does not need to be a month-by-month break down if that is what would bring it over the 18 hour limit.

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-2029-2425

Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26th September 2024 asking for information about fainting on the London Underground.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked the following, further to case reference FOI-1905-2425:

Thank you for your response – if you could provide this data: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-1019-1718 but for 2023 that would be useful! It does not need to be a month-by-month break down if that is what would bring it over the 18 hour limit.

I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, I am afraid that the costs exemption continues to apply for the same reasons as set out before. Whether or not the data is provided on an annual or monthly basis, it would still take in excess of 18 hours to source it. As explained previously, we would have to manually review thousands of individual incident reports to collate the requested data. This is not possible within the costs limit.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely,
