The claimant’s solicitors have submitted an injury claim for xxxxxxxx for an incident on the xx/xx//2020. They have advised the incident location should be xxxx Eastern Avenue, London Borough of Redbridge, Gants Hill, Ilford, IG2 6LW and photographs of the location have been provided by the solicitors (See attached). The solicitors allegations were, the claimant tripped on a raised utility cover/pavement causing injury. We understand the solicitors may well have made the request to you already as this was previously submitted to Redbridge Council who re-directed the matter. Question 1: Date of your last pre-accident inspection of this location?

The last formal inspection prior to 10 June 2020 was 25 May 2020.

Question 2: The frequency of inspections?

The inspections on this part of the A12 Eastern Avenue are carried out once per month

Question 3: How inspections are carried out (on foot or slow-moving vehicle)?

The inspections are carried out on foot

Question 4: Confirmation if any defects were noted at the time of your last pre-accident inspection.

The attached spreadsheet provides details of the defects recorded on this section of road between 25 May 2020 and 10 June 2020. To note, any defects picked up during inspections or from other sources are logged as defects. You may need to expand the width of some of the columns to read the data in full.

Question 5: Please can you provide a copy of the inspection records

See answer to Q4. The inspection dates are included in the report attached, which includes any defect records made during the time period above.

Question 6: Have any Section 81 Notices been issued to our Clients?

We have searched our records back to 01/01/2020 and not found any section 81s for this location.
