You asked

What is the actual cost to 2 October 2019 of the Highbury Corner Roundabout Project, formally opened. If additional costs are expected please confirm.On 5 February 2019 a Request on TFL reference 2691-1819 reiterated that the approved budget was £11.6m. This figure was given first in early 2016, and followed the earlier estimate of £10m given by the Mayor on 22 December 2008. Second, was the cost solely paid by TFL.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2nd October 2019 asking for information about the cost of the Highbury Corner roundabout project.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

The actual spend (to 2nd October 2019) for the Highbury Corner roundabout scheme is £8m with a current Estimated Final Cost of £9.1m. The remaining cost covers outstanding contract liabilities and includes tree planting and additional Station forecourt safety works.

The project is being funded by TfL with a contribution of £0.09m from the London Borough of Islington to fund the Yorkstone paving materials directly outside Highbury & Islington Station.
