You asked

Anecdotal evidence suggests that the number of district line trains that pass between Elm Park and Upminster in both directions have got significantly less during peak times and thus causing increasing wait times. I would like to know: - What TFL define as peak hours - The number of trains per hour passing through the stations. Not ones that are just scheduled; those that actually stop. -The average wait time during TFL defined peak hours for a train from Elm Park into London and Elm Park to Upminster I would like data to be from January 2015 to current

Thank you for your request received on 18 October 2017 asking for information about District Line performance between Elm Park and Upminster.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

• What TFL define as peak hours

Peak hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 to 10:00 (AM Peak) & 16:00 to 19:00 (PM Peak).

• The number of trains per hour passing through the stations. Not ones that are just scheduled; those that actually stop.
• The average wait time during TFL defined peak hours for a train from Elm Park into London and Elm Park to Upminster

I would like data to be from January 2015 to current

Please find attached a breakdown by number of trains by peak hours, as well as the average wait times. For the average wait time information, the data is missing for a couple of days. This is due to a failure of the system used (NETMIS), throughout the duration of the AM or PM peak of the missing day. Please note weekends and public/bank holidays excluded.
