How many secure residential cycle parking spaces (cycle hangars) have been funded by Transport for London since the publication of the Cycle Parking Implementation Plan in July 2019? Please break this down by financial year. Secure residential cycle hangars are installed and maintained by the London boroughs. Based on information provided by the London boroughs, there have been 861 hangars (5,166 spaces) installed using TfL Cycle Parking Programme funding in the financial years 2019-20 to 2022-23 inclusive. However the programme was paused during Covid-19 restrictions. A further c.400 hangars (2,400 spaces) are being funded in 2023-24. The TfL Cycle Parking Programme only funds part of the total number of new secure residential cycle hangars in London. Please see a yearly breakdown below:
