Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 October 2017 asking for information about reported injuries to passengers on London Underground whilst using mobile devices.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:

Please state the number of injuries reported on the underground to passengers who tripped or fell while using their mobile phones or other mobile devices, for the last financial year and the current financial year to 01/10/17.

We have identified a total of 39 incidents (27 for the last financial year and 12 for the current financial year) using the keywords of Mobile, Phone, Tablet, iPad, Text, Online and Internet, then reviewing the resulting incidents for relevance.
