Thank you for your request received on 22 October 2018 asking for information about penalty charge notices (PCNs) issued for box junction contraventions.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

Please give the locations of the where the 5 highest volumes of penalty charge notices (PCNs) have been issued on TfL managed roads for yellow box contravention by drivers in the financial year 2017/18? Please give the numbers of PCNs issued alongside the locations.

We publish information about parking contravention by financial year. The below table lists the top five locations, and the number of PCNs issued for yellow box contraventions observed between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018 inclusive:

How many PCNs have been issued across all TfL managed roads for contravention of box junctions for the financial years 2016/17 and 2017/18? (please give data separately by year)

The total number of PCNs issued for yellow box contraventions on the TfL Road Network (TLRN) between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018 was 123,071. Between 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 the number of PCNs issued was 108,164.
