Request ID: FOI-1862-1920
Date published: 07 February 2020

You asked

F/O from 1650-1920 Thank you for this response which was most helpful. In your response you refer to meetings at which updated information is briefed on this topic - at project level and at a more senior meeting on a weekly basis. Please could I therefore request that you release any papers received or prepared for both of these weekly meetings as well as any minutes of what was discussed. To narrow the scope of the request please could I only receive material or sections of the paper relating to the introduction of the class 710 onto the Chingford line and could I only have material from the most recent four sets of weekly meetings for which these papers are available for. If any information needs to be redacted for reasons of commercial confidence please do this.

We answered

TfL Ref: 1862-1920

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 September 2019 asking for material or sections of the Minutes relating to the introduction of the class 710 onto the Chingford line from the most recent four sets of weekly meetings for which these papers are available for.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

We remain on programme to introduce the first Class 710 train on the services from Liverpool Street by the end of this year. However, due to some software challenges there have been some delays to date. For this reason, we cannot give a specific date as yet but can assure you we are doing all we can to get the new trains into service as soon as possible.

Please find attached the last four revisions of the ‘Cascade Plan’ which shows the movement in introduction dates of the class 710 on the Chingford Line which reflects delivery challenges.  The weekly meetings are not minuted due to their frequency.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
