Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 October 2018, asking how much was spent on the proposed Rotherhithe-Canary Wharf river crossing to date.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

The total spend as of 13 October 2018 on this river crossing project is £7.32 million. This funding covers initial optioneering, delivery and analysis of the first public consultation, as well as modelling and engineering design work towards a preferred option ahead of a second public consultation on the proposed crossing.
