FOI request detail

How many times has a bus broken down on Regent Street in the last 5 years?

Request ID: FOI-1789-2425
Date published: 23 September 2024

You asked

Since the reduction in carriageways on Regent Street in 2020 if a bus breaks down it blocks all the traffic and causes gridlock blocking other traffic and emergency vehicles. How many times has a TFL bus broken down on this section of road north or southbound (between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus) in the last 5 years? Please list each event and the time taken from the time the bus stopped to the time it was removed. Have there been concerns raised by the Fire or Ambulance service with TFL as a result of the reduced carriageway?
