Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11th October 2022 asking for information about TfL’s spending on tea and coffee for staff.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, How much for your budget each year do you spend on tea's and coffee's for your employees?”
I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. This is because we are unable to separate the money spent specifically on tea and coffee from other refreshments provided under the contract with Lavazza Professional, as referenced in this previous FOI response:
As you can see, the contract with Lavazza covers the provision of drinks and snacks vending machines, at a cost of £1,509,000, and runs until June 2025. Note that details of all TfL contracts with a value of over £5000 are published on our website here:
