F/on from FOI-1354 I will revise my request. Are you able to provide a list of job titles and job descriptions, with salaries if possible, without salaries if it takes it over the cost limit, of all jobs below the £50,000 mark?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 31 August 2019 asking for information about job titles.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

As previously advised, providing you with a list of job titles and job descriptions, with salaries would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.

Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with requests if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other information would exceed the appropriate limit. In this instance, we estimate that the time required to answer your request would exceed 18 hours which, at £25 per hour (the rate stipulated by the Regulations), exceeds the ‘appropriate limit’.

Job descriptions are not centrally recorded, and therefore locating and collating this information from each relevant business areas would be a huge task which would again exceed the cost limit.

Therefore the only information that you have requested which we could provide to you is a list of job titles, where some or all of the people within that role have a salary under £50,000. If you would like to refine your request to just this information please let me know.
