Dear Transport for London, I understand that today an announcement was made of the intention to extend to Santander Cycles scheme in connection with Cycleway 4 to Bermondsey and Rotherhithe. Please can you provide copies of maps, plans, engineering drawings or similar in connection with this scheme extension relating to where the new docking stations will be installed. In particular, an overview of the new stations, and any specific drawings of the individual stations. Please can you provide any reports, correspondence or otherwise on the timescale of construction and installation of the new docking stations.

Thank you for your email of 27th August 2019 asking for information about the Santander cycle hire scheme.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

“I understand that today an announcement was made of the intention to extend to Santander Cycles scheme in connection with Cycleway 4 to Bermondsey and Rotherhithe.

TfL does not hold the requested information. As yet, there are no definitive plans as to exactly where or when any new docking stations will be installed in relation to the Cycleway 4 route. At present negotiations are still taking place with Southwark Council as to where to locate the new stations. Until such time as the sites are agreed no detailed maps or plans will be available, and the timeframe for construction/installation will not be known until agreement has been reached with the Council.
