You asked

We would like TFL, under the freedom of information act, to grant access to the following information: 1. Surveying of sites around where the work is to be completed, including all sites that were rejected for access points. Full set of access sites and dirt removal options which were originally up for consideration, their analysis and relative scoring, and selection criteria and process which has resulted in (a) moving dirt by road rather than rail and (b) the choice of two access points (Hainault Road and The Chase/Lechmere). 2. The assessments of roads ( in particular The Chase and Lechmere Ave). 3. The assessment of traffic volume and weight impact on The Chase, Lechmere Ave and Hainault Road using heavy 8 wheeled trucks (6,000 each way of 18 months) 4. Health & Safety analysis of Access routes 5. The impact on the environment and pollution. 6. Any plans, surveys and other assessments of areas pertaining to the works (either directly or indirectly). 7. The independent study of vegetation, trees and wildlife to be decimated within the area of works.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7 September 2018 asking for information about Cutting stabilisation from Grange Hill to Chigwell.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. Please see attached and below.

 

 

1. Surveying of sites around where the work is to be completed, including all sites that were rejected for access points. Full set of access sites and dirt removal options which were originally up for consideration, their analysis and relative scoring, and selection criteria and process which has resulted in (a) moving dirt by road rather than rail and (b) the choice of two access points (Hainault Road and The Chase/Lechmere). – please see attached Earth Structures Conceptual Design Statement and Appraisal of Slope Stability Based on Monitoring Results.

2. The assessments of roads ( in particular The Chase and Lechmere Ave). – we do not hold a separate document on this

3. The assessment of traffic volume and weight impact on The Chase, Lechmere Ave and Hainault Road using heavy 8 wheeled trucks (6,000 each way of 18 months) – we do not hold a separate document on this.


4. Health & Safety analysis of Access routes – we do not hold a separate document on this.


5. The impact on the environment and pollution – we do not hold a separate document on this.


6. Any plans, surveys and other assessments of areas pertaining to the works (either directly or indirectly). – please see attached – Permanent works Detailed Design Report.


7. The independent study of vegetation, trees and wildlife to be decimated within the area of works. – please see attached Chigwell Sites Ecology Survey and Preliminary Ecological Assessment Reptile Survey documents.
