Thank you for your assistance recently.
A historic question this time. Some Bus operators receive a "diversion fund" from TfL.
Please can you tell us which bus operators receive this?
What are the terms of this fund? Please provide copy of any agreements.
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-1509-1920/EH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19 August 2019 asking for information about a ‘Diversion fund’ for bus operators.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. There is nothing called a Diversion fund.
Where routes are put on long term diversion and continue much as before there are no additional payments made. If we agree changes to a service to ensure it remains reliable for any reason including if it goes on diversion and needs more vehicles, this is funded from our bus network budget, not from a specific fund.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
