The purpose of investing in the new system was to combine many of the paper-based processes that were being used, for example, coverage planning and shift swapping and changing annual leave into one rostering and coverage solution.

The new electronic system was designed to automate the coverage/shift administration processes in a simple online tool enabling staff to self-serve and manage their schedules remotely without being in an office.

After extensive testing, it wasn’t possible to deliver a programme which could be used by all our station staff without further considerable investment. It has therefore been agreed to end the contract with our supplier early.

We are unable to provide staff hours as we have not kept a record of this information and have no records assigned to this.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
