The IT department for TfL (our Tech & Data department) includes over 2000 people. It is unclear which job description you are interested in. We have attached a job description for the Head of Technology Service Operations which involves “looking after computers and system”.  

8) There is a tube depot Victoria line near Tottenham Hale. What is the purpose of this depot and what job roles are currently operating on this site?

Northumberland Park Depot is the service and storage area for trains on the Victoria Line, the only part of the line above ground. Trains access the depot by a tunnelled branch line to the north of Seven Sisters.

All facets of train maintenance are carried out within this depot, this means that staff include depot management, train technicians and train cleaning staff. There is also administration staff for audit and control. From here the service is maintained and controlled to counter any disruption that may occur on the line. Staff include service managers, service controllers, signalling staff and information specialists to send information to train operators to communicate with customers.
