Can you please tell me under an FOI request how many risk assessments over the last 5 years TfL have undertook on Uber or Uber drivers?

Thank you for your request received on 9 August 2019 asking for information about risk assessments undertaken on Uber or their drivers.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy.

We have not carried out any risk assessments on Uber or their drivers over the last five years.

All licensees, including private hire drivers and operators, are required to meet the relevant legislation and licensing requirements which can be found on our website at the following location: www.tfl.gov.uk/info-for/taxis-and-private-hire/licensing. Licensees are required to comply with regulations for the duration of their licence. We will investigate any issues or public safety concerns that are brought to our attention and take licensing action where appropriate.
