Thank you for your revised request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21 October 2020, asking about police diversions into the ULEZ, between 23 Dec 2019 and 2 Jan 2020.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Between 23 Dec 2019 and 2 Jan 2020 we located only one diversion into the ULEZ zone. This was for City Road northbound closure at Old Street due to emergency gas works. However, there is no mention this diversion was implemented at the request of the Police. Drivers are not charged if they are diverted into the zone and take the next available exit.
