Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30th September 2021 asking for information about a parking bay on Watford Way, NW4.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Damage to the signpost at 5-7 Watford Way was reported on 18 May and the sign was removed on 20 May for safety reasons. It was reinstalled on 20 July. During this period 198 PCNs were issued.
TfL does not proactively contact drivers when a PCN has been issued. However, on receipt of a PCN the recipient has a right to challenge the penalty by submitting a representation to us. Each case is judged individually and a decision is made whether to accept or reject the representation. If a representation is rejected the motorist has a further right of appeal to an Independent Adjudicator at the London Tribunals.
