You asked

Hello, can I have any and all information on the London Overground Class 378 Refurbishment program. As well as a fleet information sheet on Classes 378s, 172s, 315s, 317s and Class 710 (ie the entirety of the London Overground Fleet)

We answered

Thank you for your email received by us on 17 August 2018 asking for information about the London Overground Class 378 refurbishment program and London Overground Fleet details.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
I can advise that in February 2013, approval was gained for the procurement of 57 additional vehicles to lengthen the Class 378 fleet from four to five cars. In July 2015, we announced an order for 45 new Class 710 units, some of these would be used instead of the Class 378s in use on the Watford DC line. These units were used to strengthen services on the other lines that were also using the Class 378 stock. In January 2016, we announced that all 57 units were now running with five cars. The following press release on new class 710 Overground rolling stock may also be of interest at: https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2018/june/first-new-state-of-the-art-london-overground-train-unveiled
Attached is a data sheet for London Overground class 378 rolling stock, in addition to a fleet sheet covering the network.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
