I was wondering if would be possible to find out the positions of the tunnel boring machines and how far tunnel excavations currently reach for the Northern Line Extension works?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 August 2018 asking for information about the tunnel boring machines and how far tunnel excavations currently reach for the Northern Line Extension works.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

The main tunnelling drives were completed approximately a year ago. Following this, the tunnel boring machines were returned to their manufacturer, NFM Technologies, in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, France.
