With regards to the claim that nine in ten vehicles seen driving in the zone are compliant, can you confirm that all vehicles registered for autopay are considered and counted as compliant, or whether they are counted individually according to their registered class?

Thank you for your request received on 30 July 2023 asking for information about Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) compliant vehicles.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do no hold the information you require.

Information about how TfL measures and reports ULEZ compliance levels is available on our website:

https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone/ulez-compliance-data  

When a vehicle is registered on an Auto Pay account we do not record the compliance status of the vehicle and such vehicles are not included when we calculate overall compliance figures.
