  1. Assessments regarding the time of trips to enable the route to be driven at legal speeds.

Buses used on route 465 have been fitted with the Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) technology. This uses GPS to link the buses location to the speed limit map, and limits the speed the bus can do to that of the legal speed limit.
In scheduling the services, the legal speed limits are taken into consideration, and run time is constantly reviewed, so any appropriate changes can be made. Having ISA fitted removes acting on any temptation or accidental speeding if time is perceived to be needed to be made up.

We monitor the speeds of buses to understand the impacts of changing road network conditions. Bus speeds include time spent stationary (for example at traffic lights and at bus stops). Bus speeds and performance data are available by route here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/buses-performance-data#on-this-page-4

  1. Maximum time a bus should be expected to sit at a single stop for time management.

Whilst the expected maximum waiting time would be two minutes, the bus could be asked to wait for a longer time based on a specific circumstance outside of the usual parameters.

  1. Expected maximum time a bus would be expected to sit at a bus stop when doing so would obstruct traffic from passing entirely.

The expected maximum waiting time would be two minutes, we would not wish to obstruct traffic if it can be avoided
