Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
- Please can you let us know whether heating on London buses is a TfL requirement and on bus drivers cabs?
We can confirm that the TfL vehicle specification for London buses does state that heating is a requirement on the bus.
- Does TfL make sure that bus operators are ensuring a working heater for passengers and the bus drivers?
Operators are required to ensure that buses are properly maintained and any faults, including those with the heating system, are rectified.
