You asked
Dear Transport for London,
Within the review on all London hospitals in 2017, there was a note that there will be an existing route extended to Whittington Hospital.
Could I request on the information on which exact existing route is currently proposed to extend to Whittington Hospital?
Yours faithfully,

TfL Ref: 1255-2122
Thank you for your request received by us on 6 September 2021 asking for information about which existing bus route is currently proposed to extend to Whittington Hospital in Highgate, north London.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for the following:

I can advise that we have not developed a proposal for extending an existing route to Whittington Hospital. However, we did produce a later update via the following link in the Agenda for the Customer Service and Operational Performance Panel paper dated 13 June 2019 at: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/csopp-20190613-public-agenda-and-papers.pdf
In the table presented on page 253, the following update is provided and the status given is ‘on hold’:
Whittington Hospital (Highgate) Extend an existing bus route to the hospital
On Hold
Sources of funding for infrastructure costs still to be identified, and it is likely that any scheme would be dependent on a redevelopment of part of the hospital site. Implementation unlikely in the near future, and subject to consultation.
Hence, as mentioned above, any proposal would be dependent on the redevelopment of this Hospital site and also subject to funding and necessary supporting infrastructure being made available in future.
In the meantime, TfL keeps the bus network under continuous review to ensure it delivers value for money and continues to meet the diverse needs of London. If TfL were to develop such a proposal, we would of course consult with stakeholders in the usual way.
