Can I please ask for info with regards to the A20 Eastbound, West of Sandy Lane as I have received as speeding notice. Can you confirm when the speed cameras and average speed cameras went live/changed this year and any/all occasions where signage was added/changed/updated to date.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18th July 2024 asking for information about speed cameras and signs on the A20.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

Can I please ask for info with regards to the A20 Eastbound, West of Sandy Lane as I have received as speeding notice. Can you confirm when the speed cameras and average speed cameras went live/changed this year and any/all occasions where signage was added/changed/updated to date.”

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

An average speed camera system was installed in late October 2023. Variable Message Signs were introduced on 4 October 2023, warning of the new 40mph limit, nine weeks ahead of enforcement taking place. Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) enforcement action began on 19 December 2023.
