TfL Ref: FOI-1238-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17th August 2022 asking for information about the shelter at bus stop SC, Shooters Hill Road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked: “Given the TFL statement Asset Operations Officer has Stated "TfL representatives and Contractor's working on behalf of TfL have visited this location numerous times and found no issue with the lights in question, thus the decision has been made we will not raise any more orders for the foreseeable future in regards to this defect." then please advise for each visit to the venue, for checking, when the venue was visited by date, time and by whom (name obviously not divulgeable) and please supply for each visit the visitor's report feedback including what checks were carried out if during times of daylight.” I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Please find attached the site visit reports which represent the information held in relation to your request. On all the occasions when a TfL representative visited the shelter the lighting was working on arrival. Solar lighting often requires the panel to be in direct contact with the sun in order to work and can be affected by trees, foliage and the weather in general. The surrounding greenery is the responsibility of the borough at this location - therefore, TfL will alert the borough so they can investigate if there are any issues regarding green infrastructure. Meanwhile TfL will continue to monitor and review this bus shelter in the future.
