FOI request detail

Escalators at Cutty Sark DLR station

Request ID: FOI-1235-1920
Date published: 14 August 2019

You asked

Could you please provide information on how many days the escalators at Cutty Sark DLR station have been out of action, how much work has been carried out and the total cost over the past 5 years? I am a Greenwich resident and once again an escalator has been taken out of service to be worked on. I have seen them ‘fixed’ at more times over the past 5 years than at any other station on the network; time and monies spent must have run alarm bells somewhere? If you are unwilling or unable to provide a comprehensive answer I will submit a FOI request.

We answered

Our ref: FOI-1235-1920/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 July 2019 asking for information about the escalators at Cutty Sark DLR station.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require - this branch of the DLR is privately managed by CGL Rail, and TfL does not hold the information on the escalators that you have requested.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
