I want to know how many colour deficient train drivers are operating trains on the London Underground? (Please note from my previous FOI request- I’m not interested in the eyesight medical requirements for train drivers)

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27 July 2019 asking for information about colour deficient train drivers.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Four staff identified with red-green colour vision deficiency are currently driving trains on the Jubilee Line. This remains on a trial basis until a decision is made about their status permanently, informed by the success or otherwise of the trial.
