I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

Note that TfL has two distinct sources of data for this information - collisions recorded and reported to us by the police, and data reported by the tram operator.

The data reported by the police is shown in the first spreadsheet attached. The data is collected by the police using Department for Transport STATS20 Guidance (see here for more information: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/995423/stats20-2011.pdf). The police only report details of collisions that they were called to and which involved personal injury, and all such collisions occur on the public highway (whereas parts of the Tram network are not regarded as public highway, and so any accidents on those sections would not be included in this data). The latest data we have is to the end April 2022. Note further that all 2021 and 2022 data is currently provisional and subject to change.

The data reported to us from the Tram operator is provided in the second spreadsheet.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely,
