I wrote under FOI to you 8 weeks ago asking if TfL kept the Union {?} "Check off" system for RMT {?} ASLEF TfL staff. You have ignored my request - you have broken the law. I will take it you continue the Check Off which feeds the Union [?] yesterday London Transport [?] on 20/06/23

Thank you for your request of 17th July 2023 asking for information about the Union “check off” system.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Does TFL from the Salary Payment System deduct RMT employees trade union dues and pay the sun to the RMT . It is called the Check Off arrangement.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Transport for London does not deduct Trade Union dues/fees on behalf of the RMT. Trade Union members of the RMT have to pay directly.
